Revolut in Singapore
Revolut received a Major Payment Institution license from MAS (Monetary Authority of Singapore), making it one of the most regulated ways to buy Bitcoin in Singapore. The app combines traditional banking (IBAN, debit card, international transfers) with crypto buying in one place.
Crypto Features
Revolut supports 100+ cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin, Ethereum, and major altcoins. Purchases use Revolut's internal liquidity — not a crypto exchange. This means slightly higher spreads (1.5-2.5%) compared to Binance (0.1%), but far simpler user experience. Standard tier users get 1 fee-free crypto exchange per month; Premium/Metal subscribers get unlimited fee-free exchanges.
Custody Warning
Revolut holds your crypto in custody — you do not control the private keys. For small amounts and casual investing, this is acceptable. For significant Bitcoin holdings, transfer to a hardware wallet (Ledger or Trezor) for true self-custody.
