Bitcoin calculator

Four things worth working out before you buy. Nothing is sent anywhere and there is no sign-up.

The price loads automatically. If it does not, type today's price in yourself — every calculation below uses whatever number is in that field.

1. How much Bitcoin do I get?

2. What does buying regularly add up to?

This is what you would put in and what it buys at today's price. It is not a forecast — the price you actually pay each time will be different.

3. What does the fee really cost?

Worth checking against the spread too: a platform with "0% fees" often takes its cut in a worse exchange rate instead.

4. What does inflation do to savings?

What the same money would still buy, and how much purchasing power is lost. Inflation rates differ enormously across Asia — use your own country's figure, not a regional average.

Before you act on any of this

These are arithmetic tools, not advice. Bitcoin is volatile and you can lose money. Whether buying, holding or converting is even permitted, and how it is taxed, differs sharply between markets covered by this site — check your own country's rules first. How we source those rules is set out in our editorial policy.
