Trust, editorial policy and risk disclosure
Last updated: 30 July 2026
BitcoinChurchAsia publishes educational Bitcoin and cryptocurrency guides for readers across Asia. We are not a bank, broker, exchange, custodian, investment adviser, tax adviser or legal adviser, and nothing here is a personal recommendation.

Editorial standards
- Every page must answer a real reader problem before it is optimised for a keyword.
- Financial, tax and legal claims are checked against official or primary sources.
- Affiliate links never change a recommendation, a ranking or a risk explanation.
- High-risk topics carry plain-language warnings and a beginner-safe alternative.
- We do not publish user testimonials, star ratings or review counts that we cannot verify.
How we research and update pages
- Regulatory status is taken from the market's own regulator, central bank or tax authority, not from other blogs.
- Exchange details (fees, deposit rails, KYC level, availability) are checked against the provider's own public documentation.
- Evergreen guides are reviewed whenever regulation, tax rules, exchange availability or product safety changes.
- Where a figure can move (tax rates, fees, limits), we name the source and the period it applies to.
- Numbers we cannot attribute to a source are removed rather than estimated.
- Asia is not one market. A rule that holds in Singapore usually says nothing about India, Vietnam or Pakistan, so country pages are written separately rather than translated from one template.
Sources we rely on
For each market we work from the bodies that actually set the rules there:
- India — Reserve Bank of India, SEBI, and the Income Tax Department for virtual digital asset taxation
- Japan — Financial Services Agency (JFSA) and the JVCEA self-regulatory body
- South Korea — Financial Services Commission and the Financial Intelligence Unit
- Singapore — Monetary Authority of Singapore, under the Payment Services Act
- Indonesia — Otoritas Jasa Keuangan (OJK), which took over crypto-asset supervision from Bappebti
- Malaysia — Securities Commission Malaysia and Bank Negara Malaysia
- Thailand — Thai SEC and the Bank of Thailand
- Philippines — Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas and the SEC
- Vietnam — State Bank of Vietnam
- Hong Kong — Securities and Futures Commission; Taiwan — Financial Supervisory Commission
- Pakistan — State Bank of Pakistan; Bangladesh — Bangladesh Bank; Sri Lanka — Central Bank of Sri Lanka
- UAE — VARA and the Securities and Commodities Authority; Türkiye — Sermaye Piyasası Kurulu (SPK)
Where a market's position is unsettled or unenforced in practice, we say so plainly instead of presenting it as a settled rule.
Corrections policy
If a page contains an error, we want to fix it. Report it through the contact page or by e-mail to [email protected] with the page URL and what is wrong. Factual errors that affect a financial, tax or safety decision are corrected as a priority, and the page's update date is changed when the correction is published. We correct the page itself rather than quietly deleting it.
Affiliate and commercial disclosure
Some outbound links to exchanges, wallets and other services are affiliate links, and we may earn a commission if you open an account through them. This never costs you more, and it does not influence which services we cover or how we rank them. Buying, trading and custody always happen on the third-party provider's own platform under their terms — this site is not a shop, an exchange or a custodian, and never holds your funds. The site also carries advertising; see the Privacy Policy for how that works.
Risk disclosure
Bitcoin and crypto assets are volatile and you can lose money. Self-custody mistakes, phishing, exchange insolvency, leverage and tax errors can all cause serious losses. Never invest money you cannot afford to lose, and check your own national rules before acting on anything you read here — several markets covered by this site restrict or ban parts of what other markets allow.
Contact and questions
Questions, corrections and press enquiries go through the contact page, or directly to [email protected]. We cannot access any exchange or wallet account, unlock an account or recover a seed phrase — and nobody writing on behalf of this site will ever ask you for a seed phrase, private key or password.
